About the course
In this course you will: - Understand why some autistic children may eat differently - Describe neuroaffirmative practice as it relates to food and feeding - Identify practical ways to support autistic children’s eating
Meet your instructor: Dr Jo Cormack, MBACP (Reg.)
I am a qualified and registered therapist (with the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy) specialising in feeding dynamics and the feeding relationship and mom of three. Put simply, my work is all about the psychology of how children eat and how we feed them. I have a PhD in picky eating and work with parents and professionals. My key focus on this training series is to enable those working with young children to better understand, manage and support children's relationships with food. Revealing the different ways in which children can relate to food, it gives accessible guidance and advice about how to help children to develop psychologically healthy eating habits, and how to tackle common feeding issues including picky eating, obesity, food anxiety and allergies.
